The 8 inch upper is Black Walnut Badlands oil-tanned leather with Goodyear Storm Welt construction. The lining is a comfort weave. The insole is a removable dual density Ultimate Shock Absorption footbed on Poron 4000 Comfort Cushion. The midsole is rubber, the shank is fiberglass, and the outsole is Thorogood Dual Density polyurethane comfort sole with 90 degree heel that has reinforced 'Ball to Ball' stitching. Slip-resistant, non-marking with solid brass hardware. Also features ASTM F 2413-0413-05 M/I/75/C/75 steel toe and electrical hazard protection. Made in USA by ISO 9001 Certified Shoe Company. Perfect for general work or work around high voltage.

For over 40 years I've been trying to find the PERFECT workboot. Well, finally as close as I think one can get. Beautiful craftsmanship. Comfortable right out of the box. American made (not just assembled), and UNION MADE! OK, a little pricey, but Red Wings, Wolverines and Danner are right up there too, and can't compare. American made since 1892. Help your country and help your feet. Try a pair. They're truly incomparable.

These boots feel like there broken in right out of the box. Very soft leather. I'm hoping that the ankle support will hold up being so soft. I've worn these 2 weeks (construction) and they are great. Can't tell how well they'll hold up. So far so good.

This was my first Thorogood boot. Reviews from multiple sources were positive, so I got these and have been very happy with them. They are comfortable and solid. They are functional when out and about. Even though these have a steel toe, I got them for everyday wear because of the protection and stability they offer. I would buy these boots again, if these ever wear out in my lifetime.
